This church was built in the 17th century in a Renaissance architectural style. It is referred to as the ‘Old Parish’ since it fell out of use when St Helen’s Basilica was constructed. It is dedicated to the Assumption of Mary.

A three-dimensional ship graffito, probably of a frigate, with an emphasis on the depiction of the stern. A flag is present at the stern and a beakhead together with a bowsprit at the bow. Three masts are visible, with shrouds at the foremast.

A realistic rendition of an 18th century tartana complete with rigging. St Andrew’s flag is present at the stern, likely serving as a flag of convenience.
