St. Peter’s Church, in Marsaxlokk, was built in 1682 and later enlarged. Interestingly, this church used to facilitate a number of unique customs, namely, the blessing of rings to help mothers during their pregnancy. Also, on the feast of St. Peter, priests would bless olive branches and water.
